EHEIM Substrat- Standard bio-filter medium with huge colonization area for bacteria cultures and high effectiveness SUBSTRATE can be layered in at least one layer. It is a profoundly porous filter material using in the sintered glass. The surface design offers the significant cleaning bacteria magnificent colonization conditions. The colonizable region amounts to 450 m² per liter. EHEIM SUBSTRATE is appropriate for fresh and marine water, is can be reused and launderable.

Tip: Never change or clean all the filter media together in one activity (and never clean too rigorously). The filter baskets in the external filters and filter modules in the internal filters aqua ball and biopower are ideal for halfway cleaning.
